SANITARY CONDITION OF A CHAPEL HOUSE.
Mr Owen Williams, Tyddyn Bach, Ceidio, appeared before the Council in regard to complaints made as to the condition of the Ceidio chapel house. The Clerk explained that the Medical Officer had condemned the house, and that the Insurance Committee pressed the Council to have the house repaired. The Council had already issued a notice of their intention to close the house.
Mr Williams said that the trustees were not prepared to spend any money on the house, and would leave the matter in the hands of the Council.
The Sanitary Inspector said it would be a pity to close such a commodious house. Mr W. L. Davies asked if the Council were prepared to turn out a large family for the sake of avoiding a few shillings expenditure.
On the motion of Mr John Pierce, it was decided that the Inspector should interview the trustees and report upon the matter.
