Ddydd Gwener mewn amryw o newyddiaduron hysbys y dydd ymddangosodd rhestr o anrhydeddau a roed gan y Brenin i'r milwyr hyny a fu'n enwog am gyflawni gorchestion wrth gymeryd Jerusalem, ac yn eu plith yr oedd enw Quarter-Master Sergeant J. H. Ravenhill, New Street, yn cael ei anrhydeddu a'r D.C. M,.Llongyfarchwn ef yn galonog am ei orchestwaith arbenig i enill y fath anrhydedd, ac eiddunwn iddo eto le uwch a safle well ym myd gwroniaid rhyfel.

Awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. It was chiefly due to his resource and unflagging zeal that ration water and stores were brought up to his unit under most difficult and trying conditions.He joined the army at the out- break of war and was seriously wounded in the Dardanelles.
