The fourth daughter of Edward Foulke, Catharine, married Theophilus Williams and left four children, viz : John, Benjamin, Mary and Ellenor. Catharine married 4th mo. 5, 1713, Theophilus Williams, son of John, of Montgomery.

MRS. CATHERINE HUGHES FOULKE WILLIAMS. GWYNEDD, MONTGOMERY CO, PENNSYLVANIA.

WHEREAS Theophilus Williams son of John Williams of Montgomery in the county of Philadelphia and province of Pennsylvania, and Catherine Foulke, daughter of Edward Foulke of Gwynedd in the County and Province aforesaid having declared their intentions of Marriage with each other before Several Monthly Meetings of the People called Quakers in the Welsh Tract according to the good order used among whose proceedings therin after a deliberate consideration thereof, and having consent of Parents and Relations concerned.

Nothing appearing to obstruct were approved of by the said meetings now these are to certify all whom it may concern that for the full accomplishing of their said intentions this fifth day of the fourth month in the year 1713 they the said Theophilus Williams and Catherine Foulke appeared in public meeting of the said people at Gwynedd afoersaid and the said Theophilus Williams taking the said Catherine Flouke by the hand did in solemn manner openly declare that he took her to be his wife promising by Gods assistance to be unto her a faithful and loving husband till death should separate them, and then and there the said Catherine Foulke did in like manner declare that she took the said Theophilus Williams to be her husband, promising by God's assistance to be unto him a faithful and loving wife till death should separate them.

And moreover the said Theophilus Williams and Catherine Foulke (she according to the customs of marriage assuming the name of her husband as a further confirmation thereof did then and there to these present set their hands and we whose names are hereunder written being among others present at the solemnisation of their said marriage and subscription in manner afore as witnesses thereunto have also to these present set our hands the day and year above written.
