MRS. JANE HUGHES, UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY,NEW YORK.
Widow of Benjamin Williams (1802-1885) Mrs. Jane Williams died at the residence of her daughter Mrs. William M. Device, No 44 Spring Street, yesterday morning, in the 83rd year of her age.She was born in Pwllheli Caernarvonshire, North Wales, but came to this country 61 years ago and has since resided in Remsen and vicinity.
She was a member of Capel Isaf, Welsh Baptist Church for 58 years, and much esteemed by all who knew her.
She leaves eight children : Mrs. J Jones, Alden, Minn.; Mrs. Evan T. Jones, Wabasha, Minn.; Evan H. Williams, Austrlia; William H. Williams; Hattie A. Williams, Remsen; Hugh H. Williams, Corning, Arkansas; Mrs. Richard W. Jones and Mrs. William M. Davies, Utica. Thirty five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive her. Her husband has been dead four years.
The funeral will occur from 41 Spring Street, Wednesday at 11AM.
