Priododd gyda Mr. Lewis yn 1843, ac ymfudodd y ddau i'r wlad hon y flwyddyn ddylynol, 1844, gan ymsefydlu yn Whitestown, New York, lle y buont fyw ddeuddeg mlynedd, pryd yr ymsefydlasant yn Waterville. Yma y treuliodd y 35 mlynedd diweddaf ei bywyd, hyd o fewn rhyw dair wythnos i'w marwolaeth, pryd, o herwydd gwaeledd ei iechyd, y daeth at ei merch i Utica, ac wedi wythnos o wir gystudd bu farw yno.
Cymerwyd ei gweddillion i'w daearu yn Waterville. Gweinyddwyd yn y ddinas hon gan Parch. J. Ll. Davies, ac yn Waterville gan y Parchn. B. H. Williams a B. G. Newton. Yr oedd Mrs. Lewis yn aelod o eglwys Crist er pan yn 16 oed, a daliodd hyd y diwedd. Mae y perthynasau yn y wlad hon ac yn yr Hen Wlad yn lluosog iawn. Chwaer ydoedd i Dafydd Jones, Bryncrug, gynt - tad David Jones, contractor, Utica - ac mae efeilles iddi yn byw yn awr yn Waterville, a'r chwaer arall yn Bryncrug, Mae chwech o blant yn ei goroesi, sef Mrs. Jane Bush - yn nhy yr hon y bu farw - ac Angel Lewis, Seymour Avenue, Utica, New York; John, Margaret, Thomas, a Susan Lewis, Waterville. Know All, That I, Catherine Lewis of the Town of Marshall, Oneida County, New York, of the age of sixty nine, and being of sound disposing mind and memory, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, in the words and manner following, that is to say :First : I hereby direct the payment of all my just debts and liabilities, and the payment to my executor hereinafter named fair compensation for the services hereby required of him, and the paymentof all my funeral expenses, and the costs and expenses of erecting a suitable tombstone or monument at my grave and that of my husband John Lewis which may be suitable and to the memory of myself and my said husband.
Second : In case my said husband survives me I hereby give, devise and bequeath unto my said husband, the use the rent, profits and avails of all my estate both real and personal of every name and nature during his lifetime.
Third : After the decease of my said husband, or in case of his death prior to my decease, then immediately after my decease, I hereby give and bequeath unto my two daughters Margaret and Susan Lewis all of my household furniture of every name and nature the same to go to them equally share and share alike their heirs and assigns forever.
Fourth : After the decease of my said husband and the uses to him as aforesaid or in case of his death prior to my decease then in that case as soon as may be after my decease I hereby direct my said Executor to sell and dispose of all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal not hereintofore bequeathed for the best price he can obtain using all reasonable effort to obtain a good and fair market price therefore, and the avails of said sale or sales after paying the expenses of said sale and fair compensation to said Executor for such service I hereby give, devise and bequeath the same with my children hereinafter named in the order and the amounts following that is to say, to wit :
Firstly : To my said two daughters Margaret and Susan Lewis to be divided equally between them share and share alike, the sum of two thousand dollars thereof.
Secondly : To my son Thomas Lewis the sum of seven hundred dollars.
Thirdly : Two thirds of the remainder of said avails to my two sons John Lewis and Angle Lewis equally share and share alike, the same to go to them in the order and manner above specified, their heirs and assigns forever.
Fifth : I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my friend Hugh R. Thomas Esq. of Waterville, Oneida County, New York, sole executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to settle compound and compromise any claims or demands that may be in favor or that may be presented against my said estate, and to execute all necessary legal papers and conveyances that may be necessary for him to execute to carry out fully the terms of this Will, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

We whose names are hereto subscribed do certify that Catherine Lewis the testatrix subscribed her name to this instrument in our presence, and in the presence of each of us, and at the same time she declared in our presence and hearing that the same was her last Will and Testament, and requested us and each of us to sign our names thereto as witnesses to the execution thereof and which we have done accordingly in the presence of the testator and of each other the day of the date of the said Will.
