MR. HUGH WILLIAMS. WATERVILLE, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
In the name of God, Amen.I Hugh Williams residing in the Town of Marshall, Oneida County, New York, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding do hereby make, publish and declare this instrument to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.
First : I constitute and appoint my wife Lucy Ann Williams and my son Herbert G. Williams, both of Marshall aforesaid Executors of this my said Will and I direct them firstly to pay all my necessary funeral and testamentary expenses and all my lawful debts owing by me.
Second : I direct my said Executors out of my estate to expend not to exceed the sum of two hundred dollars in the purchase and erection of a suitable monument upon the lot where my remains shall be buried.
Third : I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife Lucy Ann Williams on surviving the sum of two thousand dollars, and I charge the payment of this said legacy upon all my real and personal estate, and I hereby declare such provision to my said wife to be in full lieu of dower, and to be so accepted by him. I also give, decise and bequeath unto my said wife all my household furniture and furnishings of every name or nature owned by me at my decease, to have and to hold the same and all of said property absolutely.
Fourth : All the rest, residue and remainder of my property and estate. I order and direct my said Executors to divide into six equal shares or portions and I give, devise and bequeath unto Herbert G. Williams, and my son Thomas Williams and my son John Williams all of Marshall, New York, each and equal share or portion thereof.
The sixth and remaining share or portion I direct shall be held and retained by said Executors in trust for my daughter Emma Jones, wife of John R. Jones and to be by said Executors invested to the best advantage possible and to use income and interest thereof annually paid to my said daughter Emma Jones for and during the full period of her natural life, and at her death the principal sum of such share or portion shall be divided to and among all of the children of said Emma Jones equally share an share alike the heirs of any child dying prior to the death of said Emma Jones to take the share or portion of his or her parent.
Fifth : For the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions hereof I do hereby authorize and empower my said Executor to sell and convey any and all real estate of which I may die seized or possessed in this discretion.
Sixth : I hereby revoke any and all previous Wills by me made, and hereby declare this instrument and this only to be my last Will and Testament.

The foregoing instrument was at this date duly signed, sealed, published and declared by Hugh Williams the testator therein named to be his last Will and Testament and he so signed the same in our presence and declared the same to us and we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
