Ionawr 4ydd, 1899, yn Rome, New York, Mrs. Mary Jones, yn 78 mlwydd oed o'r pneumonia.Ymfudodd o Gymru yn 1851 gyda'i theulu, sef priod a phedwar o blant, gan ymsefydlu yn Turin, Lewis County, New York, ac yno yn 1853 y bu ei phriod John Jones, farw.
Yn 1878 symudodd hi at ei phlant i Rome, i dreulio gweddill ei hoes.
Bu yn aelod crefyddol dichlynaidd a difwlch; ac yr oedd ei ffyddlondeb yn eglwysi Tug Hill a Collinsville am flynyddoedd meithion dan lawer o anfaiteision yn brawf diymwad ei bod yn Israeliad yn wir, yn yr hon nid oedd twyll.
Collodd dad ei phlant pan oeddynt yn ieuainc, ond ymdrechodd i'w dwyn i fyny yn addysg ac athrawiaeth yr Arglwydd, a choronwyd ei hymdrechion â llwyddiant. Cafodd fyw i weled un o'i meibion yn golofn gadarn yn eglwys Dduw ac yn ddiacon ffyddlawn, a'r gweddill o'r plant yn rhai sydd yn ofni Duw eu mam ac yn ffyddlon yn ei wasanaeth.
Yn ei marwolaeth cafodd eglwys y M. C. yn Rome ac hefyd yr ardal golled fawr. Mae perarogl y dyn neu y ddynes dduwiol yn puro awyr cymdeithas, felly y gellir dweud am Mrs. Jones. Wel, dyma un eto o pioneers yr achos crefyddol Cymreig yn America wedi cwympo. Gresyn yw na chaem eu hanes yn gryno cyn i'r olaf fyned ymaith.
Gadawodd un chwaer ac un brawd ar ôl yn Nghymru, sef John Williams Ty'n Llidiart, plwyf Aberdaron, a dau fab - Abram Jones, Rome, a John A. Jones, Utica; hefyd merch, sef Mary E. Jones, Rome. Na fydded iddynt wylo fel rhai heb obaith, ond yn hytrach diolchwch am ei chael mor hir yn fam ofalus a chrefyddol.
Hebryngwyd ei gweddillion i gladdfa Wright's Settlement, Floyd, ddydd Sadwrn, Ionawr 7fed. Gweinyddwyd gan ei gweinidog y Parch. J. J. Williams a'r Parch Morien Mon Hughes.

In the name of God, Amen.I Mary Jones, widow, residing at No. 11 Cooper Street , Utica, New York, do make this my last Will and Testament as follows :
First : I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
Second : I order and direct my Executor hereinafter named to sell at public or private sale any and all real property of which I shall die seized, at such time within one two or three years after my death as she deems advisable.
Third : Out of the proceeds of said real property I hereby give and devise unto my daughter Maria E. Jones of Utica, New York, the sum of one thousand dollars, by way of compensation to her for services rendered to me in the care of myself and my property for many years last past.
Fourth : Out of the proceeds of such sale I also give and devise unto my said daughter Maria E. Jones and my son William E. Jones each the sum of five hundred dollars.
Fifth : Out of the proceeds of such sale if there shall be sufficient remaining, I give and devise to each of my grandsons, Arthur M. Jones, Walter Jones and Percy Jones the sum of one hundred, but should there not be sufficient to pay each of said granchildren the said sum of $100 then their legacies shall abate proportionally.
Sixth : I hereby give unto my son William E. Jones any and all sums of money which he shall owe me at the time of my death for borrowed money.
Lastly : I hereby nominate and appoint my said daughter Maria E. Jones to be Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby giving her full authority to sell and convey any and all real property of which I shall die seized, hereby revoking any former Will by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 7th day of July 1898.

The foregoing instrument consisting of one sheet was signed, published and declared to be her last Will and Testament by Mary Jones, on the day of its date in our presence and we at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other at the same time sign our names hereto as witnesses to the execution and publication thereof.
