MR. EDWARD ROBERTS, NEENAH, WINNEBAGO, WISCONSIN.
He and his wife Mary settled in Neenah. He acquired a disease and died July, 1849, ten days after arriving, and he was the second to be buried in that cemetery.Mary lived until September 4th, 1878. Their children are : Elizabeth, the wife of David J. Owen, City Hall, with a family of seven. Samuel married to Maria Clement; his family are Melissa, Florence, Howard, Mary and Alice. Catherine married to Hugh MacGregor; and her family are : Mary Margaret, the wife of John Strange - their children, Catherine, Ethel, Hugh and Paul; Charles and Edward, both married and in the lumbar business in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Hannah, who married Matthew Lomas, with one daughter Emma, the wife of Charles Cooley. Sarah, the wife of Isaiah Young, Raymond, Minnesota; her family are : Melvin, Mary Lydia, Hannah, Edward, Minnie and Ulysses, Zechariah in Greenfield, Iowa, married to Minerva Guptil, of whom were born to him, Carrie, Minnie, Uriah and Lee; the first and third are dead. Uriah N., who was the Julia Rorabuck, in Davenport, Iowa, until his death; and his children are Edward and Horace; he was one of the excellent of earth. Mary A., a teacher for years in Des Moines, Iowa. E. L. (Lazarus Roberts, a well known lumbarman in Chicago, the husband of Sarah Ellen Rorabuck; his family are Hugh, Rhoda, Catherine, Ruth and Edward. Frances Ellen, the widow of Joseph A. Oliver, and her family, Inez and Uriah N., moved to Oshkosh.
