MRS. JANE WILLIAMS. SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.

Jane was the second wife of Israel Kashow, having married him in San Francisco on 6th Feb 1851. This created a scandalous affair, as Israel was still married to his first wife, Mary Stivers Kashow. In the divorce suit, Mary charged that Israel was supposed to have sent her the means to join him in San Francisco, but instead married Jane and was squandering their common property and finances on Jane and the offspring Jane had with Israel (Israel and Jane Anne), and he was apparently preparing to leave the US altogether, with Jane. DIED. In Honolulu, Dec. 12th, MRS. JANE, wife of Israel Kashow, aged 23 years. She was a native of North Wales, but late a resident of this city. A biography on Israel Kashow, written by his great-great granddaughter, indicates Jane was buried on Hawaii, near Waikiki Beach.
