MR. RICHARD WILLIAMS, WATERVILLE, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
I Richard Williams of the town of Bridgewater in the County of Oneoda and State of New York, of the age of fifty four years, being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say.First. I give and bequeath to my son Morris Williams the sum of five dollars. To my daughter Mary the sum of five dollars. To my son William the sum of five dollars. To my son Robert the sum of five dollars. To My daughter Catherine the sum of five dollars. To my son Griffith the sum of five dollars. To my daughter Jane the sum of ten dollars, to be paid to the said Jane in such sums and at such times as my Executors shall think proper. To my daughter Ann the sum of fifty dollars, which sum is to be placed in the hands of Richard A Jones, who I appoint guardian of my said daughter Ann. The said Jones is to put said fifty dollars at Interest except such sums as shall from time to time become necessary for the support of the said Ann. All to be paid to her when she shall arrive at the age of eighteen years.
Second. I give and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my personal Estate, goods and chattels of what nature or kind soever to my wife Margaret Williams and my son Richard Williams to remain undivided until my Executors shall think if for the interest of the said Richard to have his portion divided from the said Margaret and then it shall be divided equally : If the said Richard shall die before he attains the age of twenty one years - his portion is to be divided between my wife and children, each to have an equal share.
And lastly I do nominate and appoint friends Richard A Jones and Rowland Morris to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 17th day of February 1854.
The above instrument containing one sheet of paper was at the date thereof signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Richard Williams as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto.
