WILL OF MR. CADWALADR RICHARDS, MARCY, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

In the name of God Amen.

I Cadwalader Richards of the city of Utica, in the county of Oneida and state of New York and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say. First : I give and bequeath to my wife Jane Richards all my household furniture and the sum of two hundred dollars to be accepted and received by her in lieu of dower.

Second : The balance of my personal property I hereby divise to my children, John, Robert, David, Thomas and Catherine, to be equally divided between them, share and share alike.

Third : I give and devise the lot of land which I now own in the town of Marcy in the county aforesaid being part of the farm I formerly purchased of Deacon Abijah Thomas containing about fifteen acres of land with the buildings thereon and appurtenances thereto to my son John H. Richards, his heirs and assigns forever and my son John H. Richards with H L Williams I appoint my executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of September 1836.

The above instrument was at the date thereof signed sealed and published and declared by the said Cadwalader Richards as for his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

I Henry M Burchard Surrogate of said County do hereby certify the foregoing to be the record of the last will and testament of Cadwalader Richards deceased and of the Proofs and examinations taken thereon.
