MR. WILLIAM FRANCIS, REMSEN, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Mab Francis Griffith, genedigol o Carreg Plas a Jane Williams, Bronllwyd, Botwnnog. Y ddau yn byw yn Bronllwyd am gyfnod ac wedyn symyd i fyw i Trefgraig Bach, Llangwnadl.Ganwyd William yn 1789. Bu ei fam, Jane Williams farw yn 1807.
Yn 1818 William a Griffith ei frawd i America ac mae peth o'r hanes i weld ar garreg fedd Griffith Francis ym mynwent Sixty yn Steuben.
Priododd William gyda merch o Gymru, Ann Williams ac fe gawsant bedwar o blant, George, Wallace, Joseph I a Jane. Ganwyd Wallace yn 1822 a phan oedd yn ŵr ieuanc cafodd swydd yn Remsen fel ysgrifennydd i gwmni rheilffordd Utica a Black River. Ymhen amser agorodd fanc yn nhref Independence, Iowa ac fe aeth ymlaen i fod yn ŵr cyfoethog iawn.
Priododd Wallace gyda Marian Lydia Thomas, merch Didymus Thomas. Bu farw yn ddi blant yn 1895 a gadawodd arian yn ei ewyllys i adeiladu llyfrgell yn nhref Remsen.
(Roedd Didymus Thomas yn fab i Thomas Thomas, y gŵr wnaeth golli ei goes ar y môr, ac yn wŷr i Mary a Richard Thomas, Mari Siarl)

MR. WILLIAM FRANCIS, REMSEN, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
In the name of God, Amen. I William Francis of the town of Remsen in the County of Oneida and satet of New York of the age of seventy six years and being of sounf mind and memory do make, publish and declare thismy last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say :First. I give and bequeath to each of my sons : George Francis, Joseph I. Francis and Wallace Francis the sum of six hundred dollars each, which several legacies or sums of money, I direct and order to be paid to the said respective legatees within one year after my decease.
Second. I give and bequeath all the rest residua and remainder of my personal estate goods and chattels of what nature or kind soever to my daughter Jane Francis.
And I hereby appoint my said daughter Jane Francis Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.
Tha above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof signed, sealed, published and declared by the said William Francis as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
