MR. HUMPHREY PARRY JONES. REMSEN, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

I Humphrey P. Jones, Glynn, of the town and village of Remsen, County of Oneida and State of New York, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following.

First. I give and bequeath to my wife Catherine Jones the sum of one hundred and ten dollars to be paid to her grossly and every year during her natural life, in lieu of her dower.

Secondly. I give and bequeath to my four sons namely Griffith H. Jones, William H. Jones, David H. Jones, Jabez H. Jones and my three daughters namely Mary, Ann and Martha, and Jane the wife of my son Edward now in Iowa the rest and residue of all my estate both personal and real be divided them eight share and share alike forever.

And lastly, I nominate and appoint my two sons Griffith H. Jones and William H. Jones, Executors of this my Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy six.

Whereas I Humphrey P. Jones of Remsen, Oneida County, New York have made my last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the 9th day of June 1876 in and by which I have given and bequeathed my estate as therein mentioned, except my house and lot situate in the village of Remsen lately purchased by me from the heirs of William deceased, which said house and lot I now own and occupy.

These are therefore to certify that I do give and bequeath and devise unto my beloved wife Catherine to be fully enjoyed and occupied by her on payment of all taxes which may accrue on said premises during the term of her natural life and after her decease I give the same to my surviving to be by them equally divided between them share and share alike.

And lastly, it is my desire that this Codicil be annexed to and made a part of my last Will and Testament as aforesaid to all intents and purposes.
