MR. DAVID A. EVANS. ANNSVILLE, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Hydref 27ain, 1878, David A. Evans, yn 66 mlwydd oed. Ganwyd a magwyd ef yn agos i'r Bala, Cymru. Daeth i America 32 mlynedd yn ôl, a sefydlodd am dymor yn Floyd a Western, ac 20 mlynedd yn Annsville, lle y bu farw.

Dechreuodd ei fywyd crefyddol er yn fachgen. Unodd a'r Methodistiaid Calfinaidd, a pharhaodd ei undeb a hwy cyhyd ag y gallodd goraedd ei frodyr Cymreig yn y wlad hon, ac yna bwriodd ei goelbren yn mysg y Methodistiaid Esgobaidd Saesonig, o ba un enwad y bu yn aelod ffyddlon hyd ddydd ei farwolaeth. Trwy ei holl fywyd, gwnaeth ei oreu dros achos Crist yn mhob ardal.

Dyn hynod o dawel a thangnefeddus ydoedd yn ei deulu a'r gymydogaeth. Bu yn glaf am tua phedwar mis o'r dropsy, Fel yr oedd yn tynu tua therfyn ei ddyddiau, cydiai ei afael yn gadarn yn yr addewid werthfawr hyd y diwedd. Bu farw mewn heddwch.

Gadawodd wraig, yn wan iawn mewn iechyd, a thri o blant, oll mewn galar mawr. Cafodd yn ei fywyd y pleser mawr o weled ei blant oll yn gwasanaethu yr Arglwydd.

Gwasanaethwyd yn y claddedigaeth gan y Parch. T. H. McCleuthen, gweinidog y lle.
