Williams, 13 High St., Utica, New York, ar ôl bod yn lled wael am tua dwy flynedd, ond heb gael ei gyfyngu i'w dŷ hyd o fewn tua phedwar mis yn ôl.Claddwyd ef y dydd Mercher canlynol gan gynulieidfa barchus, pryd y gweinyddwyd yn y tŷ ac yn Forest Hill Cemetery gan y Parchn. H. Humphreys ac R. Gwesyn Jones, D. D.
Genedigol oedd Mr. Williams o Lanegryn, Gogledd Cymru, lle yr oedd yn adnabyddus fel un o'r seiri meini goraf, ac y bu yn flaenor defnyddiol gyda'r A. am lawer o flynyddoedd.
Ymfudodd i'r wlad hon tua 27 mlynedd yn ôl, ac ystyrid ef yn un o ddindsyddion Cymreig mwyaf parchus a chyfrifol y cylchoedd hyn, ac yr oedd yn aelod ffyddlon o'r eglwys Annibynol.
Claddodd ei briod tuag wyth mlynedd yn ôl; ond mae wedi gadael tri o blant ar ei ôl - sef y Parch. Hugh R. Williams, Plainfield, Mr. Richard Williams, cigydd, Utica, a Mrs. John Roberts, gyda'r hon y treuliodd flynyddoedd olaf ei oes, ac yn nhy yr hon y bu farw.

MR. WILLIAM R. WILLIAMS. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
I, William R. Williams of the City of Utica, County of Oneida and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say :First : After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give, devise and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Roberts, all of my household furniture, without any reservation.
Second : I give and devise unto my son Richard Williams, the sum of twenty five dollars.
Third : The remainder of my property, I hereby give, devise and bequeath, unto my son Hugh R. Williams, and my daughter Catherine Roberts, and my daughter in law Elizabeth V. Williams (the wife of my son Richard Williams), and their heirs, equally, share and share alike except as to the share of my daughter in law Elizabeth V. Williams may be modified by the contingencies and provisions, set forth hereafter in subdivision. No fourth.
Fourth : As most of my property consists of Bonds and Mortgages held by me against my son Richard Williams, given by him to secure his indebtedness to me, Now my desire is that should said securities net their full face value, and interest, then, I intend that my daughter in law Elizabeth V. Williams, shall share and share alike with my son Hugh R. Williams, and my daughter Catherine Roberts as above set forth in subdivision third. But should my Executor fail to realize the full face value of said securities, made to me by my son Richard Williams, then and in that event I desire, and do direct that the amount of such deficiency or deficiencies, shall be deducted from the share above devised to my daughter in law Elizabeth V. Williams.
Fifthly : Should I die seized of any real estate, I give unto my Executor, of this my last Will and Testament, full power to contract for the sale, and to sell the same to such person or persons, and at such price or prices, as he shall in his his judgement deem advisable, in order to carry out the provisions of this my Will.
Likewise I make, constitute and appoint my son in law John Roberts of Utica to be Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed my seal, the fifth day of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven. William R. Williams.
The above instrument, consisting of two sheets, was at the date thereof subscribed by William R. Williams, in the presence of us, and each of us; he at the time of making such subscription, acknowledged that he made the same, and declared the said instrument so subscribed by him to be his last Will and Testament. Whereupon we then and there, at his request and in the presence, and the presence of each other, subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
