MRS. ANNE ROBERTS PARRY. POT LEYDEN, LEWIS COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Mrs. Annie Roberts Parry, wife of the late William T. Parry of Portage, died suddenly Monday night at the home of her step-daughter, Mrs. T. T. Moss in La Crosse, where she was visiting.

Mrs. Parry suffered a protracted illness some time ago but had recovered her health to a reassuring degree when the fatal attack of pneumonia developed.

The remains will be brought to Portage tomorrow night and the funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10.30, from the Presbyterian church, Dr. J. H. Ritchey officiating. Internment will be in Silver Lake cemetery beside the grave of her husband.

Mr. and Mrs. Parry were residents of Portage for many years, moving to Milwaukee a few years ago, where the former died. Mr. Parry was a merchant, senior partner of the firm of Parry and Muir, and attained prominence as a republican politician, representing the district in the state senate. He was the author of the anti-treat law that caused such a sensation twenty years ago.

Mrs. Parry's maiden name was Annie R Roberts and she was a native of North Wales, born near Bala. Her marriage to Mr. Parry occurred in Utica, New York, August 27th 1867.

Five children are living : Lemuel R. and Richard Parry of Milwaukee, Pierce and Reuben Parry of Chicago and a daughter, Florence, married and living in Albany, New York. Mrs. Moss is a daughter of Mr. Parry from his first marriage.
