MR. ELIAS ELLIS. INDEPENDENCE, JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI.
Elias Ellis died Thursday morning at Independence, Missouri.The death occurred at the home of Mrs. Austin, his daughter.
Mr. Ellis was born in Maentwrog, Merionethshire, North Wales, July 14th, 1823. He had three sisters and four brothers. The Ellis family emigrated to America in 1928.
Elias Ellis was the last survivor of the family.
He was a veteran of the Mexican War, and came to Independence, Missouri with his family in 1865.
Mrs. Lizzie Randall of Springfield, his eldest daughter was a constant attendant at his bedside for weeks and until the end came.
