MRS. JANE EVANS, RACINE, WISCONSIN.

At her home, corner of Hamilton avenue and Sixteenth street, Jane, wife of Richard O. Evans, died yesterday afternoon, aged 42 years.

She had been ailing for many years, and for the last year had several spells of severe sickness. A week ago deceased had an attack of apoplexy which terminated in death. She was born at Dyffryn, Merioneth, North Wales, where she married.

In 1893 the family came to America, and stayed at Racine for a brief period, Mr. Evans having many relatives here. Subsequently they lived at Cambria, Barneveld, and Sperry, Wisconsin, and in 1901 returned to Racine, where Mr. Evans has been engaged in the grocery business.

Mrs. Evans was of a refined, amiable and quiet disposition, and regarded very highly by all those that had formed her aquaintance. She will be greatly missed by her family, consisting of her husband, two sons and one daughter. She had been a devoted member of the Welsh Presbyterian church all her life.

The funeral will take place from her home at 2pm Wednesday, December 2nd.
