MRS. ANN HOLLAND, RACINE, WISCONSIN.
At twenty minutes past twelve last night at her home, 728 College Avenue, Ann, wife of John Holland, passed away after two weeks of severe sickness, which she bore with patience and resignation. She was born in the Parish of Llanllyfni, Carnarvonshire, North Wales, July 29th 1820. She emigrated to the United States in 1853, and was married to John Holland, March 1865. She had lived at Dodgeville and Bangor, till within six years ago, when the family removed to Racine, so as to be near their daughter, Phoebe, who married Hale Roberts of this city.
Besides her husband, she has left two other children, John Williams, engine inspector of the C and N. W. Railway, Baraboo, and Mrs. Robert Williams of Milwaukee, to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and affectionate mother.
Mrs. Holland had been during her whole life a most sincere and faithful Christian, was of a very kindly and charitable disposition, and her demise will be greatly felt in the church where she was so much interested, as well as in every other good cause. Great sympathy will felt for her husband and children.
