WILLIAM R. HUGHES. FAIR HAVEN, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.

William R. Hughes, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Robert T. Hughes of Allen avenue, Friday morning, at 10 o'clock, after ten weeks illness with consumption.

He was born in Bethesda, Wales, January 15th, 1881 and for the past 13 years had made his home in Fair Haven. He was quiet and retiring and generally liked by his associates.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Ellen and Anna Hughes, and four brothers, Richard, Thomas and David of this place and Robert Hughes of Chicago.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Welsh Congregational church, the Rev. D. L. Williams officiating. The bearers were William Williams, Gordon Williams, Joseph Williams, Thomas Pritchard, Robert Lewis and William Pritchard. Robert Hughes and cousin, Robert T. Hughes of Chicago, and John Hughes of New York Mills, New York, were present at the funeral.
