Ellen was born at Fuches Las (house name) in Ceunant (Llanrug), Caernarfon, United Kingdom in 1830.She married Michael Evan Jones on 23rd Decembr 1853 in Llanrug, Wales. They emigrated to the United States in 1857, first living in Slatington, Lehigh, Pennsylvania before settling in Buckingham County, Virginia. All of their children were born in America.
