DAVID PRYTHERCH WILLIAMS. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

At his home, 283 South Street, at 9:43 o'clock this morning, occurred the death of David Phillip Williams, after an illness of six months duration. Death resulted from a complication of diseases.

Mr. Williams was born in North Wales, 47 years ago and was the son of Ann P. and the late Griffith D. Williams. While living there he learned the trade of carpenter and plied that vocation all through life.

He came to America 22 years ago and located in Utica, where he had since resided. He at first went to work in Derring's carpenter shop on Charlotte street and later worked for C. C. Kellogg Sons, Richard Richards and Owen Williams. About ten years ago he engaged in the contracting business with Richard Lloyd. He remained with Mr. Lloyd for three years when he opened a shop for himself on John street. He conducted this business until his death.

Mr. Williams was widely know among the Welshmen of this locality and had a large circle of friends. He was a member of the Masonic Order, of the Corn Hill Benevolent Association, the Carpenter Union and of the Haydn Male Chorus. Mr. Williams was a vocalist of ability and his voice had been heard on many occasions.

About 17 years ago he was married to Lizzie Owen who survives with his mother and three brothers, John P., Griffith P. and Ellis O. Williams of this city and one sister, Mrs. Kate Evans of Marcy.

When health permitted Mr. Williams attended Moriah Church.
