MR. WILLIAM W. ROWLANDS, CAMBRIA, COLUMBIA, WISCONSIN.

Farmer, Sec. 14; P.O. Cambria; born July 2nd 1834, in the Parish of Llanberis, Carnarvonshire, North Wales; came to America with his parents at about 12 years of age, in 1846, and settled in Springvale.

Married March 23rd, 1859, at Portage, by magistrate to Jane Jones, daughter of John J. Rowlands and Catherine (Jones) Rowlands, all of Carnarvonshire. Had six children - Mary, born June 7th, 1860, died August 17th, 1860; Ellen J., born June 29th, 1861; John O., October 3rd, 1863; Catharine, September 24th, 1866, died July 13th, 1867; Maggie J., born December 14th, 1873; Fannie, November 23rd, 1878, died.

Mr. Rowlands was Supervisor two years, Treasurer of the town one year, Clerk of School Districe No. 1 eight years; owns 160 acres in Secs. 14 and 15, 130 acres being under cultivation.
