Th funeral of Edmund William Griffith whose death, Tuesday of last week at his home south of Castleton Corners was noted in the Era, was held Thursday afternoon, the rev. G. E. Robbins officiating. Duest were sung by Mrs. C. S. Cole and Mrs. R. H. Seeley. The bearers were Benjamin Lewis, Richard W. Rowland, William R. Hughes, John T. Jones, William Walters and Robert Williams. The burial was in Castleton cemetery.Edmund Griffith was born in Bethesda, North Wales, February 3rd, 1845 and he came to this country shortly after attaining his majority.
In 1886 he was married to Mary C. Roberts, daughter of Mesach Roberts, a former well known resident of Castleton. His wife and seven children survive. They are Mrs. Ray Lyman of Straton, Mesach of Carlton, Minn., and William, Annie, Catherine, Mabel and Edmund of this place

MR. EDMUND WILLIAM GRIFFITH. FAIR HAVEN, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.
Edmund William Griffith died last Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock at his home one mile south of Castleton Corners.He was born in Bethesda, North Wales, February 9th, 1845, and came to this country June 7th, 1867. He married Mary C. Roberts, daughter of the late Mesach Roberts of Castleton in 1886.
He is survived by his wife and seven children, Mrs. Ray Lyman of Stratton, Mesach of Carlton, Minn., and William, Annie, Catherine, Mabel and Edmund of Castleton, also by three sisters in Wales.
The funeral was held at the house Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. G. E. Robbind officiated. The singing was by Mrs. C. S. Cole and Mrs R. H. Seeley. The bearers were Benjamin Lewis, Richard H. Rowlands, William R. Hughes, John T. Jones, William Watters and Robert Williams.
The burial was in Castleton cemetery.
