Mrs. Evan E. Jones, a highly respected of Granville, died at her home on Factory street Saturday morning, after having been in failing health for some time. With her family she came to Granville several years ago from Schaghticoke. She was a kind hearted woman and had many friends. She is survived by her husband, three sons and five daughters, all of whom have been with her during her illness. She is also survived by thiety-six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.This week Wednesday was the fifty fourth anniversary of her marriage.
The funeral service was held from her home at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, Rev. W. O. Williams officiating, assisted by Rev. H. M. Pritchard of Wilkesbarre. The funeral party went by automobile to Schaghticoke where the burial took place, the Rev. B. G. Newton od Schenectady, officiating at the grave.
