JOHN FOULK WILLIAMS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.

The sudden death Wednesday of John F. Williams of Potter Avenue, has cast a deep gloom among a host of friends in Granville and other communities. June 7th, he had a very severe attack in the quarry, while he was working as a block cutter. Dr. Munson was called to the quarry and pronounced it, hemorrhage of the lungs. After this he never gained any strength. Mr. Williams was born in Wales fifty-six years ago, the son of William F. and Catherine Williams of Pengopa, Carnarvonshire, North Wales, who came to the states in 1892. Mrs. Williams died on the ship, leaving five children to the care of the father. Nineteen years ago Mr. Williams was married to Miss Gwen Williams. To this union were born the following children: Helen, Gomer, Jane, and Mary, to whom he was a kind and loving father. He was a loving husband and kind neighbor, ever ready to succor the distressed and comfort the afflicted. At an early age he joined the church, and remained steadfast to his profession. Besides his wife, (who in May underwent a serious operation, from which she is slowly recovering,) he is survived by a brother and sister, William Williams of Granville and Mrs. Hugh O. Owens of Watervliet. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
