EMILY JONES. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Following an illness of several months, Miss Emily Jones, a graduate nurse of the Newark City Hospital, died Monday night at the House of the Holy Comforter, Mount Pleasant Avenue, West Orange.Miss Jones's two sisters, the Misses Annie A. and Katherine Jones of New York, both trained nurses, were at her bedside when she died.
Miss Jones was born at Bala, North Wales. She had been practicing nursing in Essex County for a number of years.
Besides her sister, she leaves a brother, Rev. Lloyd Jones, of Meridian, New York.
Miss Jones served for a period as a nurse during the Spanish-American War.
The funeral was held Wednesday night at 8 o'clock at the House of the Holy Comforter. Internment was in the family plot at Utica, New York.
