DAVID NATHANIEL LLOYD. OSHKOSH, WINNEBEGO COUNTY, WISCONSIN.
David N. Lloyd, 57 Ida Street, passed away at his home about 8.20 o'clock this morning after an illness of about two years, He had suffered a stroke at that time and his health had been poor since.Mr. Lloyd was born May 5th, 1844, in Wales, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cadwalader Lloyd, with whom he came to America in 1851. The family settled north of Oshkosh, where they lived for about four years, then moved to the Welsh settlement south of the city, where in 1875 Mr. Lloyd married Elizabeth Davis. The couple went to Rosendale and three years ago came back to reside in Oshkosh.
The deceased is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Lloyd and Mrs. Morris Williams, and two sons, John D. Lloyd and Walter Lloyd. One daughter Lily Lloyd died about a year ago.
While at Rosendale, Mr. Lloyd was a member of the Peniel church and was one of thedeacons for many years. Upon his return to Oshkosh he became a member of the Welsh Presbyterian church on Light Street.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock from the home and at 2 o'clock from the chapel at Riverside cemetery. Mr. Williams of Ring will conduct the service. The body will be placed temporarily in the vault and will be interred at Zoar cemetery in the spring. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
