HUGH H. WILLIAMS. ROME, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

Utica. November 15th. – Hugh H. Williams died at his home, 9288 Brayton Park Place, Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock. He had been ailing for a period of one year.

He was born in Carnarvonshire, Wales, December 3rd, 1839, and at the age of 17 years he came to America, location in Vermont, later moving to Floyd. For a number of years he was engaged in farming near the Oriskany Monument. Fifteen years ago he retired from active life, and located in Utica, where he had since resided until the time of his death.

During his earlier life he was active in musical circles. The deceased was a member of the Welsh Church of Oriskany, but upon moving to Utica he became a member of Bethesda Congregational Church. He was twice married his first wife, Jenette E. Jones, daughter of the late Evan M and Gwen Jones of Floyd died March 5, 1902.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Nancy C., two sons, Gomer C. of Oneida and Evan J. of Cincinnati, Ohio, one stepson, William T. Roberts of Waterville, two granddaughters, Misses Ethel and Marion Williams of Oneida, and three grandsons, Clarence H, of Rochester, S. Smith of Rome and Hugh Fox, 928 Bryton Park Place, Utica.

The funeral will be held from his late home Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Wright Settlement, Rome.
