MARY ROBERTS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.

The funeral of the late Mrs. (Rev.) John William Morris, Washington Street, was held at the Welsh Presbyterian Church Saturday.

Mrs. Morris was born at Bethesda, North Wales, seventy-four years ago. In 1868 she was united in marriage to the rev. John William Morris. The early years of their married life was spent in Slatington, Pennsylvania. Thirty five years ago they moved to South Poultney, where until last summer, Mr. Morris had charge of the Welsh Presbyterian Churches of Poultney and South Poultney.

Mrs. Morris was a woman of excellent qualities, which endeared her to all those who came in contact with her.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: John, Benjamin and William Morris, Mrs. Will Toomey, Philadelphia Pennsylvania; Mrs. W. R. Williams, Burlington, Vermont; Mrs. Thomas Pickering, Granville, and several grandchildren, also three sisters and one brother, Mrs. John B. Roberts, Mrs. Leah Roberts, Mrs. Annie Owens and Benjamin Roberts, Slatington, Pennsylvania.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Kate Buchnar, Slatington; Mrs. Jane Jones, Schenectady; Mrs. John Roberts, Ilion; Mrs. Robert H. Roberts, Rutland; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Owen and Miss Esther Owen, Fair Haven; Richard Griffith, Utica, The Rev. J. Parry Jones and Rev. T. L. Joseph, Granville, Rev. Llewelyn Jones, Utica, and Rev. R. J. Owens, Middle Granville were the officiating ministers.

Internment was in Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville.

The bearers were Jonah Hughes, Robert Jones, Moses Roberts, Roger Pritchard, Richard M. Williams and Frank Jones.
