OWEN ROBERTS. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Owen Roberts, 61, of Whitesboro who was severely injured while at work in the Utica Dyeing Company plant a week ago today, died from his injuries in St. Luke's Hospital at 5:15 this morning. Mr. Roberts received broken arms and legs and a fractured skull while replacing a belt on a moving pulley.He was born in North Wales, July 19, 1868, son of the late van and Jane Roberts. He married Sarah Morgan in Perth, North Wales, Aug. 29, 1895 and she died in 1914.
Mr. Roberts came to this country and to Whitesboro where he had since resided, 18 years ago.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Griffith Evans of Westmoreland Street, Whitesboro; Mrs. Robert Williams of upper Mall Street, Whitesboro and Misses Doris and Marion Roberts also of Whitesboro; a brother, Humphrey Roberts in North Wales; five grandchildren and a nephew, Evan Roberts of Cleveland, Ohio.
