RICHARD EVANS THOMAS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTOB COUNTY, NEW YORK.

The death of Richard E. Thomas, Sr., occurred Friday morning at his home on Quaker Street, at the age of seventy-three years. Last December, Mr. Thomas was in an automobile accident with his son John Thomas, colliding with a truck on the Middle Granville road while returning from their work in the quarry. Mr. Thomas and the son were taken to the local hospital and later discharged. Mr. Thomas had not been well since the accident and about three weeks ago, suffered a stroke from which he did not recover.

He was born in Fairy Glen (Bettws y Coed,) North Wales and came to this country forty three years ago.

The survivors are his widow, the son above mentioned, another son, Richard Jr., two daughters, Mrs. Richard Roberts and Mrs. Thomas Roberts, several grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Thomas was a member of the Lodge of True Ivorites and the Odd Fellows.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Welsh Congregational Church, of which he was a member and deacon, Rev. T. L. Joseph, officiating, assisted by Rev. R. J. Owen. The burial took place at the Pawlet Cemetery.

The bearers were Stephen Thomas, David Pritchard, Evan J. Williams, Richard Parry, Griffith Williams and Thomas Rowlands. The flower bearers were Robert L. Williams, William Evans and Robert Thomas. The flowers were beautiful and in profusion.
