She was a communicant of Trinity Church; also a member of the Trinity choir for the past twenty-six years. She possessed a fine musical voice having won prizes several times at the Eisteddfods in Granville in former years. The funeral services which were largely attended were held from Trinity Episcopal Church, Tuesday, April 2nd, the rector, Rev. Henry Hogg, assisted by Rev H. P. Kaulfuss of Whitehall, the former rector of the church, in charge of the services. The singing at the service and at the grave by Trinity choir, assisted by members of the other church choirs of Granville and West Pawlet, was beautifully rendered, the hymns including "Asleep in Jesus, Blessed Sheep," and "Aberystwyth," and "Babel," sung in Welsh. The church altar was beautifully decorated with flowers from the different Guilds of the church and a basket of lilies was placed at the seat in the choir loft where she had sat for so many years. The beautiful floral pieces surrounding her casket showed the high esteem in which she was held.

The bearers were: Silas Everts, Dr. A. G. Barrett, Evan Morris, William G. Roberts, Edward Jones and Evan Ellis. Friends from Utica, Fort Edward and Whitehall attended the funeral services.

Miss Owen possessed an unusually sunny disposition with a cheery smile and remark for all with whom she came in contact. Her life was devoted to making others happy, giving of her time and efforts willingly. She will be greatly missed in the home circle as well as by a large circle of friends.
