Mrs. Ann Ellen Parry, 59, died Thursday night at the Emma Laing Stevens Hospital, where she had been a patient for several weeks.

She was a native of North Wales but had resided for many years in Granville. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. David M. Jones of South Poultney, Vermont; one sister, Mrs. Owen Parry of South Poultney; one brother, John O. Jones of Rome; and three grand-children.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock, standard time, Sunday afternoon at the South Poultney Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Samuel E. Prytherch, pastor of the Welsh Presbyterian Church will officiate and internment will be in Mettowee Cemetery.

The death of Mrs. Ann Ellen Parry, 59, widow of Benjamin Parry, occurred Thursday night at the Emma Laing Stevens Hospital. Mrs. Parry had been in poor health since December and was taken to the Albany hospital for observation and treatment in January from where she was taken to the home of her daughter in South Poultney. Four weeks ago, she was brought to the hospital in Granville for treatment. Previous to her illness she had resided in Granville but since the death of her husband, ten years ago, had spent much of her time with her daughter.

She was a dependable friend, a devoted christian, kind to all who came in contact with her. A wide circle of friends mourn her passing.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. David M. Jones of South Poultney, a brother, John O. Jones of Poultney, three grandchildren and an aunt, Mrs. Evan Jones, Columbus Street and several cousins.

Largely attended funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the South Poultney Presbyterian Church in Granville, officiating. The bearers were Fred L. Roberts and William Morris, Granville; Thomas Price Jones and Hugh Jones, South Poultney; and Griffith Roberts. Rev. Mr. Prytherch had charge of the committal service.

The burial was in Mettowee Vallet Cemetery in Granville in the family plot beside her husband where many floral tributed marked the grave.
