OWEN M. WILLIAMS. POULTNEY, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.

The death of Owen M. Williams, 68, of Morrison Avenue, occurred Saturday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the Emma Laing Stevens Hospital following an illness since December.

Mr. Williams was born September 20th, 1866 in Bethel, Carnarvonshire, North Wales, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Williams. He was a slate maker by occupation. He was a member of the Order of True Ivorites of America and of the Peniel Welsh Presbyterian Church of Granville. During his residence in Poultney, he served for some fifteen years as deacon of the Presbyterian Church.

The survivors are his widow, Mrs. Jane Williams, who is an invalid and has been his constant care for the past ten years; one son, Morris O. Williams of Ilion; two daughters, Mrs. John Foster Thomas of Granville and Mrs. Llewelyn R. Thomas of New York City, one brother in Chicago and a cousin, Mrs. John Lewis of Granville.

The funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Welsh Presbyterian Church, the pastor, S. E. Prytherch and Rev. D. C. Davies of Poultney and rev. Richard Owen of Middle Granville officiating. There was the congregational singing and solo effectively sung by Mrs. Hannah Thomas of Bangor, Pennsylvania.

The bearers were Hugh Thomas, Evan Williams, John Hughes, Gwynedd Jones, Thomas Rowlands and William Edwards. The internment was in the Poultney Cemetery.
