MR. ELLIS WILLIAMS. ROBERT WILLIAM WILLIAMS. NEW BERLIN, NEW YORK.
Ellis Williams, brother of Robert Williams of this village, died last Friday, September 10th, 1937, of pulmonary tuberculosis at thr general hospital in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, following an illness of about two years.He was born in Penygroes, Wales, October 10th, 1880, son of the late William and Martha Roberts Williams.
For a number of years he was employed by the Utica Press and T. J. Griffiths Sons in Utica as linotype operator. He was a member of the Wilkes Barre Typographical Union.
Mr. Williams was twice married, his first wife being Nettie reed, who died in 1910. His second wife was Alice Redner.
Deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Faherty of Glens Falls; a son, Kenneth Williams of Cambridge, New York; two brothers, William Williams in Wales and Robert in New Berlin; three sisters, Mrs Robert G. Owens, Wales, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis of Utica and Mrs. John L. Jones of Rome.
The funeral was held from the Dakin home Tuesday afternoon, September 14th; Rev. John MacCulloch, pastor of the Baptist church officiating. Burial was made in Fairview cemetery.
