LEWIS ISAAC LEWIS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.

The death of Lewis Isaac Lewis of Granville, occurred Sunday morning ar 8 o'clock at his home on East main Street following an illness of seven weeks.

Mr. Lewis was born in Bethesda Bach, Carnarvonshire, March 25th, 1863. He came to the United States 49 years ago last April, locating in Granville. His wife came here several years later. After a residence of several years in the United States, she returned to Wales, where her death occurred.

He was united in marriage with Mrs. Catherine Evans, widow of Cadwalader Evans, 11 years ago, December 29th, who survives him with one step-son, Griffith T. Evans; step-daughters, Mrs. Alice M. Evans and Mrs. Blodwen Evans of Granville and Mrs. Mrs. Elizabeth Evans Main of Bennington, also a nephew, Isaac Lewis of West Pawlet and one sister in Wales.

He was a member of the Welsh Presbyterian Church from where the funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Ellis Lloyd officiating. There was the customary congregational singing in Welsh.

The bearers were Hugh Griffiths, David Pritchard, Evan Williams, Griffith J. Griffiths, Thomas Rowlands and Hugh R. Thomas.

The burial was in the family plot in Mettowee cemetery, where beautiful floral tributes marked the grave.

Mr. Evans will be missed in the home as well as by many friends.
