MARGARET ROBERTS. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, NEW YORK.
The death of Mrs. Margaret J. Roberts, 84, occurred Friday evening, October 13th, at 7:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vincent Price after an illness of many months.She was born in Wales in 1855, the daughter of Cadwalader and Margaret Jones. She was united in marriage with Richard R. Jones and following his death was married to Thomas M. Roberts whose death occurred several years ago. She came to this country at the age of 31 years.
The survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Vincent Price, Mrs. Robert R. Roberts and Mrs. Owen Parry, all of Granville; Mrs. John Humphrey of Little Falls and Mrs. Ralph Fuller of Boston, Massachusetts; also several grandchildren. One daughter and two sons died several years ago.
She was a faithful member of the Welsh Congregational Church and attended while her health permitted.
Largely attended funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Price, where she had been cared for for the past three months, Rev. Lloyd officiating, bringing a message uplifting and comforting to all. There was a profusion of beautiful floral pieces.
The bearers were Evan Williams, David Pritchard, Hugh Griffith, Hugh Thomas, Thomas Rowlands and John M. Davies. The internment was in the family plot in Mettowee cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts was a loyal friend and kind neighbor. She possessed a cheerful disposition, with a smile for all with whom she came in contact. Many friends will mourn her passing.
