ROBERT CHARLES MORRIS. PAWLET, RUTLAND COUNTY, VERMONT.
The death of Robert C. Morris of West Pawlet occurred at 3:30 o'clock yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. He was born in Wales, 77 years ago last April 7th, the son of Charles C. and Anna Morris. He had lived in West Pawlet for the past 55 years, where he was esteemed as a fine citizen and friend.Mr. Morris had been in failing health for some time but had always been interested in his church and community. He was a slate maker and an artist at his trade. For years he had been employed in the quarries in West Pawlet.
The survivors incluse his wife, daughter Florence of Tupper Lake; son Charles of West Pawlet; son Haydn of North Granville; grandson, Robert Beach who made his home with them; grandaughter, Roberta Morris. Also surviving are a brother William John Morris of Alberta, Canada; a sister, Nell Powell, who resides in Wales.
Funeral services will be held from the Welsh Church in West Pawlet, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. John D. Owens of Fair Haven officiating. Burial will be in the West Pawlet cemetery.
