The death of Mrs. William B. Jones, 61, of Ilion, occurred Tuesday September 16th, at her home on West street, following an illness of several months.She was born in Wales, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen J. Roberts. When a girl she moved with her family to Canada and in 1903 was married in Fair Haven. She moved to Ilion, 27 years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Ilion. She resided in Middle Granville for some years.
The survivors are her mother, Mrs. Owen J. Thomas of Granville, two sons, Newton of Scotia and William of the 95th Battalion North Carolina; a sister, Mrs. Robert W. Hughes of Ilion, a brother, John O. Roberts of Ithaea, a grandaughter and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral services were held Thursday evening, September 18th at Ilion with burial in the Mettowee cemetery at Granville, Rev. Dr. Wagner officiating, Friday.
