MRS. EDITH JONES ROBERTS. UTICA, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Mrs. Edith Jones Roberts, 1808 Genesee, died Wednesday, June 18, 1941 in a local hospital after a brief illness.She was born in Dolwyddelen, North Wales, June 28, 1878, was married there to Owen W. Roberts in 1901 and came to Utica in 1906. Her parents, the late Hugh and Alice Jones, also came from Wales.
Mrs. Roberts leaves a son, John Richard Roberts, Utica; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah E. Thomas, Utica, Mrs. Stephen R. Hughes, East Avon, Mrs. William Evans, Ruabon, Wales and Mrs. George Williams, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Wales: four brothers, John G. Jones and David Jones, Utica, Richard E. Jones, Syracuse and Peter Jones, Cooperstown; a grandson, William Owen Roberts, Utica and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p. m. Saturday in Brewer Chapel First Church of which she was a member.
