ELIZABETH "LIZZIE" THOMAS. EMPORIA, LYON COUNTY, KANSAS.
Mrs. Lizzie Thomas died Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. O. Williams, who lives 5 1/2 miles south east of Emporia.Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue Funeral Home. Rev. Josiah Daniel, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Thomas, was born August 9th, 1860, near Bethesoda, North Wales.
Mrs. Thomas moved to Slatington, Pennsylvania in 1866 and then moved to Russell in 1872. She came to Emporia in 1887.
She was married to Edward J. Thomas on August 3rd, 1880. He proceded her in death. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her daughter W. O. Williams, of Emporia; a niece, Mrs. Charlie Gilliland of Emporia; a nephew, Paul Thomas, of Emporia, and seven grandaughters, a grandson and eight great grandchildren.
