WILLIAM T. OWENS. ILION, HERKIMER COUNTY, NEW YORK.
The death of William T. Owens, 62, occurred at the Pinecrest sanitorium in Ilion, where he had been a patient for six months, December 2nd.He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Owens, formerly of Poultney and he resided here for many years but for the past several years he had been employed by the Remington Arms Company at Ilion.
He is survived by three brothers, Thomas J. Owens who recently left Poultney to reside in Ilion, Owen A. and Mathias of Ilion and three sisters, Mrs. Thomas J. Williams of Ilion, Mr. James Slone of Marcy, New York and Mrs. Raymond Wynn of East Lebanon.
He was a member of the Masonic society, an Odd Fellow, Moore, Elk and Redman.
The funeral was held December 4th. Six nephews were bearers and Rev. Ernest C. Love of the Methodist church, Ilion, officiated. The burial was in Armory Hill cemetery in Ilion.
