RICHARD WILLIAM PARRY. GRANVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK.

The death of Richard W. Parry , Granville, occurred Friday morning, December 11th, at 8:30 o'clock at the Stevens hospital, where he was taken following a shock at his home on Morrison Avenue, one week previous. He had been in failing health for about one year and a half.

He was born January 28th, 1867 at Bethesda, North Wales, the son of William and Elizabeth Parry. He married Hannah Jones, February 19th, 1886, whose death occurred March 8th, 1934. Five years ago he married Mrs. Elizabeth Williams.

The survivors are his widow and one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Mary Closs, Granville; John Parry of Rome and William Parry of Plattsburg; 14 grandchildren and eight great-granchildren, also one sister in Wales. Four daughters and one son have passed away. Two stepsons and one step-daughter also survive, Edward and Griffith Williams and Mrs. Robert Hughes.

The funeral services were held at the Welsh Congregational Church of which Mr. Parry was a faithful member and a deacon for the past 15 years. Rev. Henry Hughes, pastor, officiated. A solo was rendered by John Dunn.

The burial was in Mettowee Cemetery in Granville, with the following acting as bearers : Stephen Thomas, Owen Thomas, Thomas H. Roberts, Harry K. Williams, William Lloyd and William O. Owens.

Relatives and friends at the service included Mr. and Mrs. John Parry, Rome; William Parry and son, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hughes, Hartford, Connecticut; Edward Williams, Richfield Springs; Griffith Williams, Long Island; Mrs. Sally Price and Arvon Price, Utica.

Mr. Parry was one of Granville's most respected citizens and his death is mourned by a host of friends.
