Fatally Stricken While Working in South Wilkes Barre Colliery.
Charles M. Davis, 51, died at 2 yesterday afternoon at the South Wilkes-Barre Colliery where he was employed as a miner. He was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage in his chamber and was dead before medical aid could be summoned.Mr. Davis was born in Wales and was a resident of Plymouth before coming to this city eight years ago. He was a member of Second Welsh Congregational Church of this city.
Last Monday the Davis family moved from 73 Moyallen Street to 414 Hazle Street.
Surviving are his widow: three children, John, Ann and Dorothy Mae, all at home; a stepson, Ernest Hughes, stationed in the Army Air Corps, Atlantic City. Also surviving are his mother and two sisters in Wales.
