Funeral services for John W. Griffith of 21 Riverview Street, South Glens Falls, and a former resident of Granville, who was found dead in a Saratoga Springs hotel Friday afternoon, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the McHenry and Roberts funeral home, Granville. The Rev. Franklin Ellis, pastor of the United Church, West Pawlet, Vermont, will officiate. Internment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, West Pawlet.

Although believed a suicide, the cause of Mr. Griffith's death has not yet been determined. Dr. Frederick Eaton of Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County coroner said that there was a possibility of suicide, but is withholding a verdict until an examination of the vital organs of the body, which is under way at the State Criminal laboratory in Albany discloses the cause of death.

Nearby Mr. Griffith's body, which was found on the floor of the Brooklyn Hotel, Saratoga, where he registered Thursday, was a note asking the finder to please notify relatives. He is survived by two sons, Watkyn Griffith, 21 Riverview Street, South Glens Falls, Corp. John Griffith of the Army Air Corps, Honda, Texas, and a daughter, Miss Mona Griffith, a student nurse at Memorial Hospital, Albany.

Mr. Griffith was born March 31st, 1884, in Nantlle, Wales and resided for many years in Granville, where he was employed in the slate quarries and at one time operated a quarry of his own. For the past year he had been employed by the National Lead Company at Tahawus, where he had worked up until a few days before his death.
