MR. JOHN OWEN JONES, ROME, ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK.

John Owen Jones, 63, died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at his home, 737 W. Thomas Street, after an illness of one week.

He was born in Talysam, North Wales, July 2nd, 1879, a son of Morris John and Ellen Jones Jones.

On March 26, 1905, he married the former Martha Jane Jones in Carnarvonshire, North Wales. He came to the United States 34 years ago, and had lived in this city for 23 years. He previously resided in West Pawlet, Vermont. For 16 years Mr. Jones was employed as janitor of the Barringer School, and was last employed as night guard by the Rome Cable Corporation.

He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Horace J. Law and Mrs. C. Russell Ferguson both of Rome; Miss Gladys Jones New York City, and Mrs. Owen D. Milk, Hollywood, California, has sister, Mrs. Owen Parry, South Poultney, Vermontt, and three grandchildren.
