Succumbs at Daughter's Home Three Weeks After Husband.Mrs. Margaret Davies, 82, widow of Robert S. Davies, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James A Spargo jr., 326 W. Embargo St., after a three months' illness. Her husband died December 4th. Born in North Wales in 1862, she was the daughter of William and Gwyneth Roberts Davies.
Her marriage to Mr. Davies took place in North Wales, and the couple came to the United States making their home in Rome. New York, was a member of Bethel Presbiterian Church.
Surviving besides Mrs Spargo a daughter, Mrs. W. D. Williams; a son, Samuel R. Davies and a sister, Mrs. John R. Jones, all of Rome. There are also grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Grandchildren serving in armed forces include Sgt. Arthur Williams in France; C. M. 1/ Daniel Williams, stationed in Virginia; P.M. 3/C James A Spargo III, with the Pacific fleet; F. O. Gwinn Williams, Royal Air Force, England. Another grandson. Albert Davies, will enter the Navy at Sampson Naval Training Station Tuesday.
