Owen O. Parry, 52, quarry worker employed at Tatlo Brothers plant at Hampton is in a serious condition at Albany hospital as the result of injuries he sustained in a quarry accident Thursday afternoon.

Fellow workers stated that a large stone fell from an aeriel cableway, striking him on the back of the head. He was taken in an unconsious condition to Albany by ambulance, after a doctor had been called to give him first aid treatment. Parry's home is in South Poultney.

Owen O. Parry, 55, of South Poultney, died at the Albany hospital Thursday, August 31st, at 3 p.m., exactly 11 weeks to the day and hour he was seriously injured while at work in the Tatko Brothers Slate Quarry in Middle Granville.

Mr. Parry was born in North Wales but had resided here for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Deborah Jones; a daughter, Margaret; two sisters, Mrs. Ellis J. Evans of South Poultney and Mrs. Ellen Williams, North Wales.

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, the Rev. R. Lewis Jones, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating at the funeral and burial. Burial was in Hillside cemetery in Poultney. The bearers were Owen J. Jones, John R. Jones, Idris J. Ellis, Richard M. Williams, Hugh R. Hughes, all of South Poultney, and Richard Pritchard of Granville.

Among the out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mrs. John O. Jones and daughter, Mrs. Horace Law with her husband and son, Jack Russell Ferguson and Miss Gladys Jones, all of Rome, New York.
