OWEN O. PRITCHARD. SARANAC LAKE, ESSEX COUNTY, NEW YORK.
Owen O. Pritchard died at Saranac Lake, October 11th, 1944 after a long illness.He was born in Wales, Septmeber 5th, 1881. He was a resident of South Poultney for many years. He was an elder of the Poultney and South Poultney Church; former member of the Poultney School Board, member of Granville Presbyterian Church and Foresters.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Garfield of Boston, Massachusetts and one daughter, Mrs. John McHenry; one grandson, John W. McHenry Jr., and two grandaughters, Linda and Janet Pritchard; and a brother and sister in Wales.
Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14th, Dr. R. L. Jones officiating. A solo, 'Going Home,' was rendered by Ernest Morris.
Burial was at Mettowee Cemetery at Granville.
Bearers were John M. Davies, Thomas Pickering, Granville; Owen J. Jones, Richard M. Williams, Idris Ellis, Thomas J. Jones, all of Poutney.
